Sweden is a Scandinavian nation with thousands of coastal islands and inland lakes, along with vast boreal forests and glaciated mountains. Its principal cities, eastern capital Stockholm and southwestern Gothenburg and Malmö, are all coastal. Stockholm is built on 14 islands. It has more than 50 bridges, as well as the medieval old town, Gamla Stan, royal palaces and museums such as open-air Skansen.
Another boat ride! We took a tour of some of those islands.

Our hotel in Stockholm – at First Hotel Reisen
We stayed for lunch at the hotel, I just had a lemonade… I’ve had too many beers at this stage of my life, so I’ll stick to lemonade for the rest of my days….(notice my fingers crossed behind the glass.)
Our hotel was located in the Old Town, so we took a walk around and did some shopping. The “Big Church” is in the background.
