 Here’s my daughter Karen at the start of this year’s event. She was an excellent driver and navigator. This is the first year I have ever been at the designated starting point on time. In the background is the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. It is 60 foot longer than the Golden Gate Bridge but not nearly as famous. It spans the mouth of the Hudson River connecting Stanton Island (Richmond County) with Brooklyn (Kings County). | ||
 It might be a nice day outside but in here it’s all business. | ||
 We’re on Coney Island at the South tip of Brooklyn to give out Kings County. Here I am removing the whip antenna so I can attach the large telescoping antenna. | ||
 We parked in this lot at Aqueduct Racetrack in Southern Queens County. | ||
 In Nassau County the big guy is putting on the big guy. | ||
 Back home again. Finished up the last two hours of the contest at the Melville Marriott. |
