KP4 – Humacao, Puerto Rico

Our accommodations where at the Palmas del Mar in Humacao (pronounced oom-a-cow). This is a beautiful resort area that was all new at the time. They have a hotel, casino, time shares and condos. We stayed on the 2nd floor of one of their buildings that I assume were condos. With a United States recession in progress, they were willing to rent to us as an apartment as it appeared that they weren’t selling very fast.

In our entire building that had maybe 30 units, I believe there were only 3 occupied. We had a “golf course view” room. I simply stuck the vertical in the ground in the back yard and ran 2 radials along the edges of the building.
