Another boat ride! We took a tour of some of those islands.
Sweden is a Scandinavian nation with thousands of coastal islands and inland lakes, along with vast boreal forests and glaciated mountains. Its principal cities, eastern capital Stockholm and southwestern Gothenburg and Malmö, are all coastal. Stockholm is built on 14 islands. It has more than 50 bridges, as well as the medieval old town, Gamla Stan, royal palaces and museums such as open-air Skansen.
Our hotel in Stockholm — at First Hotel Reisen.
We stayed for lunch at the hotel, I just had a lemonade… I´ve had too many beers at this stage of my life, so I´ll stick to lemonade for the rest of my days… (notice my fingers crossed behind the glass)
Our hotel was located in the Old Town, so we took a walk around and did some shopping. The “Big Church” is in the background
The Royal Palace
View from the other side of the Royal Palace. We’re heading back down to the waterfront.
Nobody was allowed near this building (the Royal Palace)
The Big Square
Here is a photo of Anders (SMØUX). he showed us around and also took us to the lovely SKØUX Club Station

We actually operated for a while at the beautiful SKØUX club station. Just below is a short pictogram of the station. We had a great time and thanks to Anders (SMØUEI) and Johan (SM) who showed us around. Great station!
Our pictures didn’t really capture the whole station, so here is a better pic from the SKØUX website.
We also borrowed this nice picture from the SKØUX website as it portrays the beauty of the location.
Karen I and traveled from Norway to Sweden by train.
So here she is turning into SM/K2KAR on the train.
